Det nya läsåret har dragit igång och i och med det kommer planeringarna för mina respektive grupper att ligga på VKlass.se  - vi ses där! :)

Welcome to Advanced English! 

So, we'll have an hour every week to improve our English skills. 

Lesson plan: 

• Gaming & Questionnaire w.37
• More gaming w. 38
• Lyrics Training w. 39 & 40
• Watch a film w. 41-43. 
• After the film w. 45 and w. 46.:
  Option 1: Play one scene from the film. You can record it (use an iPad or your phone) or act it out in class.
  Option 2: Diary. You are one of the actors in the film. Write a journal/diary from the time when you recorded the film. What was on your mind back then?
  Option 3: Write a short story similar to the film BUT you need to change persepectives because another character plays the main part in your version of the film.

  Your assignment:
      Listen, think and discuss:
  Listen to and watch Madonna´s speech from the Stockholm concert, on Youtube. “Prayer for Paris” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI7EoaZ9ZLQ
  a) What is her message? Summarize in a few sentences.
  b) Do you agree or disagree? Explain why. Perhaps you see it from both sides, and if you do, still clarify where you stand on most part.
  
  
  Read, think and discuss:
  1)      Read: Read about the attacks in Paris on the internet, on a teen news site: http://www.newsinlevels.com/products/attacks-in-paris-level-3/
  a)      Learn the new vocabulary.
  b)      Think and discuss: Firstly, why do you think people choose to carry out such violent acts? Secondly, how can we prevent these horrible acts; what solutions do you see?
  Discuss
  “Beirut feels forgotten”. Beirut was bombed just before Paris. The news didn’t report as much about that, as they did about the Paris attacks. What do you think about this? Discuss!

  If you are done, it's time for some reading!
  Option 1: Read (and look at) the news! Choose your level: 1-2-3. The links lead to level 3 (the most difficult one) but can easily be changed into levels 1 and 2.

  The Force awakens
  Option 2: You can read (and listen to) some short stories.
  1) Pick one of these short stories.
      "The Magic Shop" by H.G Wells
     "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry   "The Best Girlfriend You Ever Had" by Pam Houston (Leica = a camera brand)
  2) Read (and listen to) the first twenty lines.
  3) Check out any new words. You can use bab.la
  4) Continue reading. 
  5) If you wish, you can look up any new words you encounter.
